We followed Kevin Marriot on Twitter to bring you this report. Kevin is a “Passionate sports journalist, now at The Cornish Times”.

Here is what Kevin had to say about this afternoon’s match at Bolitho Park between Saltash United and Plymouth Parkway FC.

There were two significant absentees for Saltash today. Striker Sam Hughes who is on the bench while manager Matt Cusack was not here. Matt was unfortunately on a coaching course.

3pm: It was a “Glorious afternoon at Bolitho Park” tweeted Kevin.

It was a goalless opening 30 minutes at Parkway but two home players – Lewis and Bass are already in the book!

Kevin then gave his 1st half summary: “Saltash are set up not to lose with a 4-5-1 but had best chances through Richards and Hall. Good contest”

“An hour gone, still 0-0 at Parkway v Saltash. Nothing in this game”

Then after Dave Trott was injured and taken off in 62nd minute,  Saltash brought on Sam Hughes!

The very next minute (63rd) Sam Leary was injured and helped off. Saltash then brought on Callum O’Brien. What’s Going On?

Then Kevin tweeted that there was a great chance for Saltash after 79 mins. Hall’s shot blocked by keeper and from rebound Hughes’ volley blocked on 6 yd line by Lewis.

So the Final Score was Parkway 0 Saltash o

Thanks Kevin, hopefully, we can do this again next week!
