Missing Saltash teen Celeste Smith has been found “safe and well” after she went missing a week ago.
The 19-year-old, who hadn’t been seen since January 31, was found this afternoon and reunited with her mum, Julie.
A police spokesman said she was located “in the Devon area”, but could not divulge any more details.
He also thanked the public on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police for all of their support in the search for Celeste, who lives in Saltash and works at the China Fleet Country Club.
The search stepped up a gear today, Monday, to spread across Britain after concerns for her wellfare.
Groups of volunteers had been searching for her since February 4 and had been passing out flyers with a photo of Celeste on the front, along with police contact information.
About 900 leaflets had been distributed in Celeste’s home town on Saturday, and hundreds more were passed around Plymouth the following day.
The avid Facebook user had been silent across social media since her disappearance, though there was speculation she boarded a 2A Stagecoach bus from Royal Parade to Saltash.
