Police are warning local businesses to be vigilant as there have been a number of burglaries across the county which appear planned.
Police inspector Meridith from Newquay Police said that while these crimes are still under investigation, early indicators are that the burglaries are organised.
Currently three towns in Cornwall have seen incidents including Bodmin, Newquay and St.Austell.
Saltash and Torpoint have not had any reported burglaries linked to this case but police are asking businesses in these areas to take measures to safeguard their safes. It is feared that the criminals could target Saltash or Torpoint.
If you do have a safe at your premises, police advise that it should be well secured to the floor or wall and that a minimum amount of staff have to know the combinations.
