This report was brought to you by following Andy Moir, who is a keen Rugby fan and was at the match today reporting live from Tavistock via Twitter.

After 25 minutes of play, Andy relayed the information that Saltash RFC was ahead with a score of Saltash 19 Tavistock 6…

Toward half time the score was Tavistock 6 Saltash 24 but then another try for Saltash making it Tavy 6 Saltash 31 🙂

Then came another try just before half time for Tavistock. Tavy 13 Saltash 31 at the break.

Glorious weather here on the edge of Dartmoor. Reported Andy!

With the 2nd half under way, it was only a few minutes before another try for Saltash was made by 2nd row Tom Rixon.

Now the score is stuck at Tavy 13 Saltash 36, looking hopeful, but have not heard from Andy for 20 minutes… I couldn’t wait anymore so I asked: “how is it going”!

“same score. Tavy have more possession 2nd half. Lewis Wells for Saltash just sin binned.” replied Andy.

Sounds like either Tavistock have picked up their game or Saltash are all puffed out!

Five minutes later we hear that with just 14 men Saltash score a converted try, now it’s 13-38 Excellent!

8 minutes later a converted try for Tavy making it 20-38 to Saltash who are back to 15 men.

With just 5 minutes left there is another try for Tavy. Unconverted!

Now it’s Tavy 25 Saltash 43…

FINAL SCORE; Tavistock 25 Saltash 43, 7 tries to 3. Good away win for Saltash!

Sadly the 2nds went down 89-8 at Camborne

Well Done Saltash

Thanks Andy, Hope we can do this again soon!
