Police Appeal After Saltash ‘Hit & Run’

Police have launched an appeal after an alleged hit and run in Saltash.

Officers say a cyclist was left unconscious on the road on Friday.

They say a silver/grey coloured vehicle did not stop after it happened on Oaklands Drive just after 3.30pm.

We are being told they drove off in the direction of Church Road.

Posting on Facebook, Saltash Police said: “This involved a cyclist riding down Oaklands drive. As the cyclist hit the dip, a vehicle pulled out without indication.

“The cyclist was hit by a car and left unconscious on side of road”.

They added: “A silver or grey coloured vehicle drove off in the direction of Church Road. It did not stop at the scene and left the cyclist unconscious on the side of the road.

Anyone who saw what happened at 3.35pm on Friday 27th January is being urged to call police on 101, quoting log number 0254 28/01/17.
