Celeste Smith, 19, has not been seen since Tuesday evening (January 31) when she left a friend’s flat in Plymouth, saying she was going home to Saltash for a bath.

Her mother, Julie Smith, put out a plea for help finding her after friends said she had not met them as planned on Wednesday.

Yesterday, Devon and Cornwall Police upgraded the search for the country club lifeguard to that of a ‘high risk’ missing person.

Celeste, originally from Par, was wearing a leather jacket, a white shirt with black jeans and black shoes at the time she went missing.

Police said they were doing all the can to find Celeste and have told how they have now classed the search as being that for a ‘high risk’ missing person.

Any information that may help the police can be reported to 101, quoting log number 616 01/02/17.

Today, her friends, family and community are out searching for her and handing out posters bearing her photograph across the area.

Friends have said they would be contacting Stagecoach about reports that Celeste was seen on the 2A bus heading towards Saltash on the day she went missing, Tuesday (January 31).

The mother of Celeste Smith has described in full the known movements of her daughter as a major search gets underway to find her. Read More about that story here.
